The House of God

The House of God

House of God

Muslim-female-silhouette Tasnim Asgharali Jaffer  (Moshi,Tanzania)

The cubical placed in a distant land
As a magnet, it attracts
Many pilgrims from all of the lands
Constructed upon the directions of the Laird

By His servant, whom He did address
as a friend
Along with his young lad, as his aid’s man
The governor of a neighbouring land

Great envy then felt
On seeing so many pilgrims land
To worship and circumambulate
Around the tiny, humble, cubical black

So, built a magnificent, worshipping place
Now, he called upon the people of all the lands
They, a visit to this new location pay
But sadly, no positive response did he get

And his envy turned into a hatred great
Collecting a large army he prepared
To destroy the humble, cubical space.

An Elephant ‘at the head’ he placed
With warriors and soldiers to back
Towards the holy Kaaba he raced

But
All of a sudden, a flock of birds came
Small pebbles upon them rained
Causing one and all to lay down dead
