C
onnection with the Creator – Through PRAYER Strengthen faith and spirituality
Prayer has been one of the most important commands of the prophets (as) and one of the most apparent manifestations of worship. Hadhrat Luqman says to his son: “O my son! Maintain the prayer.”
The Messenger of Allah (S) said: “Prayer is the covenant of Allah In karbala we find Imam Hussein as and his companions upheld salaah in the middle of the fight. And during that time they prayed salaatul Qawf in Jamaah.
One of the most beloved action loved by Allah swt is Jamaat Salaah Ruling 1380. It has been reported in authentic traditions that a prayer performed in congregation is better than performing it twenty-five times on one’s own.
So when we come to the masjid and what if I have already prayed my wajib salah on time? Ruling 1383. When congregational prayers are being performed, it is recommended that a person who has performed his prayers on his own perform them again with the congregation.
My dear mothers and daughters, our visits are frequent in these holy months and usually we conclude our programs with Salaat. And during that time if we leave all that we are doing and pray in congregation then inshA all our difficulties, all our unanswered questions will be answered by Allah swt.
I would like to share a real life story and that is this person goes to the Imam of the Masjid telling my kids to listen to me. In fact they don’t even make conversation in the house. Please help me and he was told by the Imam to pray Jamaat salaat.
Praying in Jamaat has so many benefits it enhences sisterhood in Islam IN THIS WORLD and what about the hereafter. Perhaps we will help each other in the most difficult of times.
And It is said salaat in the grave will help us as a strong light bulb Masaib Oud and Muhammad and Sha Qassim
I want us to think of this extended family member, she is related to you through your mom or dad and maybe you share the same last name but you are not very close to one another.
She is distant and when you meet you don’t connect spiritually emotionally this is how our relationship with Allah is sometimes. And even if we are connected to Allah but we don’t understand how we
are supposed to react to situations.
So for example Salaah is to pray the word salaah comes from the word silah meaning to connect the whole purpose is to connect with our Creator. Allah swt has created us humans to go through hardships thus crossing each new struggle to make ourselves better human beings.
So now we know that when any difficulty comes to me I am not going to say but that person’s life is so good and how about me? We all are tested in life. During this time protecting the Nafs is an extremely I mportant aspect of our life. Protecting ourselves from Shaitan is also very important.
As we live in this world enjoying the bounties provided by Allah swt we should keep in mind to protect our real selves for that real self will travel to the next world. Shaitan puts doubts in our hearts. But as Humans we tend to sway from the path. But Allah wants us to protect ourselves from the fire both in this world and the world to come.
Prayer is a cure for forgetfulness and a means of remembrance of God: “And maintain the prayer for My remembrance.”
