he tiger and the lion may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn’t perform in the circus. The circus here refers to the games we play to seek acceptance from others. We try to be who we are not, to become who we are not and live a lie until wisdom smacks us in the face. If you are ever tempted to look for outside approval, realize that you have compromised your integrity. Seek only His approval.
If you need a witness, be your own. I have travelled through madness to find me. That journey is one that either changes you for the better or forces you to live a life of deceit. I am still looking for the real me, but at least I have started the journey. Have you begun your journey?
Ask questions of yourself! It’s the questions we can’t answer that teach us the most. They teach us how to think. If you give a man an answer, all he gains is a little fact. But give him a question and he’ll look for his answers as ultimately your answers reveal your knowledge while your questions reflect your thinking.
No matter how isolated you are and how lonely you feel, if you do what you do truly and conscientiously, unknown friends will come and seek you. The right people for your soul, hear you differently, show up differently, support you differently, and nourish you differently. That’s how you’ll know.
Some people won’t understand your words, while some won’t even need words to understand you. If you hear people from my past speak of me, keep in mind they are speaking of a person they don’t know anymore. I dare you to seek those who speak ill of you and ask if they have anything in their past that they wouldn’t want to be reminded of! Cultivate a robust character that endures, unfazed by the winds of change, rooted in principles and integrity.
You become unstoppable when you work on things people can’t take away from you. Things like your mindset, character and personality.
You are beginning to understand, aren’t you?
That the whole world is inside you: in your perspectives and your heart. To be able to find peace, you must be at peace with yourself first, and to truly enjoy life, you must enjoy who you are. And once you learn how to master this, you will be protected from everything that makes you feel like you cannot go on
Eventually, treat others who are mean to you with love. Kindness begins with the understanding that we all struggle. These people are struggling within and do not know how to deal with their demons. You may be an easy target to make themselves feel superior. However, deep down they are crying for help. Help them find themselves and in this endeavour, you will find yourself in a place that gives you the ultimate satisfaction.
The Ego is impatient, it knows its time is limited. The Soul is patient, it knows its time is eternal. So, what are you feeding – your Ego or your Soul?
