Finding Eternal Grace and Strength in the Midst of Sorrow

The days of beauty are dawning on us,
The sacred nights looming over us,
Every pilgrim ready to go,
To answer the call of
Labaik ya Hussain.

What beauty is this,
The world is in awe,
People of every age and race,
Walk hand in hand chanting
Labaik ya Hussain.

The beauty was created 1400 years ago,
Karbala was only a piece of land,
That got it’s honor from the pure blood,
With each grain of sand also saying
Labaik ya Hussain.

The beauty spread so far and wide,
Like a rose that bloomed,
And encapsulated every heart,
That we were the promised people who will uphold
Labaik ya Hussain.

I did not see anything but beauty,
Said a sister standing firm and strong,
That voice echoed so loud,
That every majlis and matam screams
Labaik ya Hussain.
