Well children do you remember that the cave had opened more but it was still not enough to let the 7 brave men go outside? I knew you did remember! Well, the third of the men started praying to Allah. First, he recited 2 rakat of Namaz, and This is what his dua was about.
Once he had some work and he appointed a person to help him when it was done, he paid him 5 dirhams, but the man was angry and said he deserved twice the amount. When he realized that he should have paid 5 dirhams more to the worker, he turned around to find the worker, but saw that he had gone. So he took the 5 dirhams and felt it was an amanat for the worker. In order to make more profit he bought a hen with the money, then, in turn, would lay eggs and he continued to collect the amount of money in the worker’s name until he had enough money to buy more hens, hence the business thrived and he bought goats and calves, till he had a whole herd and more money, so he bought land and in this manner 10 years passed by. It so happened that the same worker happened to come to him, he said he was hungry and needed help desperately. The man was happy and told him how he had kept the 5 dirhams and tried to make some profit with the money for him, and now he had land and property for him! With that, he gave him all that he had collected!
The man remembered this deed and prayed to Allah, “Oh Allah if I did this for you, then please let the gate open and this time it opened wide enough for them to go outside!
Imagine how happy they were! 2 of the men decided to go out first to look for food. They had a few coins and it is wonderful how they were so hungry and yet they are concerned about getting food which is pure! (Ayat 19 in sure Kahf)
They were really very hungry and decided to buy some food
What they wanted was bread that was pure and good
So they went out in their clothes which were ancient and old
To find the shop where bread was sold
They did not know that years had passed by since they had slept
We must have slept for a short while, was what they felt
As they walked by the town, with money which was of old currency
Speaking their own out dated language with fluency
And the people heard them and saw their money
Some were amazed and some found it funny
Well, they did not know that centuries had passed by and the town had changed. The language they spoke was no longer spoken and the money they had was outdated and old. Their clothes were so ancient that people stared at them amazed. When they entered a Bakery for some bread, the baker was astonished to see their old coins. All this caused so much havoc and curiosity that a large group of people
gathered around to see them. It was decided that this was a matter for the King to decide. So they were taken to the King who was actually a good man.
This was a matter for the Kind was what the people agreed
The 2 men had no choice but to follow their lead
And when they told the King their story
He stared at their innocence and glory
He could not believe what he heard with his ears
And took his scholars to get rid of his fears
The 2 men entered first and related all that had taken place
And they decided to bow down and plead for Allah’s grace.
Allah answered their prayers and sleep overcame them subhanallah
They are still asleep as we read their story Mashallah
When the King heard their story he was more amazed and took some scholars with him to the cave to see the reality of the whole matter. The 2 men entered the cave before the King and his men and informed
his fellow sleepers about what had happened. At once they decided to prostrate to Allah and pray for sleep to overcome them again. When the King entered with his scholars he saw them so deep in sleep, he
thought they were dead.
On the spot where they slept, he decided to build a Mosque. It is said that they will Inshallah wake up when our 12th Imam reappears and will give allegiance to him. May Allah (swt) hasten the reappearance of our beloved Imam. Ameen.
