Prophet Yusuf

One of the most beautiful stories in the holy Quran is the story of Nabi Yusuf (as). Our Prophet Yusuf was not only handsome and good looking but he had beauty within his soul. When he was born his Father Prophet Yakub and his 11 brothers were all thrilled and happy. As the little Prophet grew older everyone realized how kind and pure he was.
How excellent his behavior was with people. This made anyone who knew and was connected with him love and admire him a lot. When his brothers saw the love everyone and especially their Father had for this charming little boy, they started feeling jealous and were unhappy about it.
Hazrat Yusuf was kind and had beautiful features
Like a Noble Angel on earth he was the most handsome of creatures
An aura of warmth and grace surrounded him
When his brothers watched this they became grim
In their heart grew the seed of jealousy
And it stopped them from reaching the path of felicity
For his father and brothers Yusuf had so much love and feeling
For their jealous looks and comments he felt no stingingThe fact is that Hazrat yakub realized the negative feelings of his other sons for Yusuf, and he prayed for their guidance. Once when he was about 12 years old Hazrat Yusuf had this beautiful dream.
He dreamt that the gates of heaven were wide open and alight
An ocean with huge waves rising in its own glory and might
He saw fishes singing the praise of Allah
He saw himself at the peak of the mountain subhanallah
With green trees around, and he was clad in some garments of light, looking grand
The keys of the treasures of the earth were in his hand
The sun, moon and eleven stars descending down from heaven in glory
Prostrating themselves before Hazrat yusuf, that’s the beginning of his story! (as)Now when Hazrat Yusuf told his beloved father about this dream, Hazrat Yakub realized that this was indeed not just an ordinary dream but it had hidden meaning and foretold the bright future of Hazrat Yusuf (as). He also knew that the position and status of Hazrat yusuf would be higher then all his brothers. He told Yusuf not to tell any of his brothers about this dream, but someone was listening behind the door, and spread the word, so it no longer remained a secret.
Unfortunately hearing about the beauty and power of Yusuf in the dream made the brothers even more jealous of him. Their feelings were so profound and deep, that they met together and plotted against their own little brother. They decided they wanted to get rid of him, and met together to make a plan. Then they came with innocent expressions of love for Yusuf and begged their Father to permit Yusuf to come with them as they went towards the Jungle.
Please let us take our little brother
Do this favor on us, Oh! dear father
What a grand time we shall have together, Oh Please agree
We shall run in the open land and be happy and free
We shall take good care of him, we promise not to be bad
Even as Hazrat Yakub granted permission he felt worried and sadWell children do you want to know what happened to Hazrat Yusuf when he went away with his brothers on that day?
