ongratulations and Wish you all Happy Father’s Day. May your home be filled with happiness and good fortune.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said I am the city of knowledge and ‘Ali (a) is its door.”
Advice from the heart for our youths on this auspicious Father’s Day and the birth anniversary of our beloved first Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib. It is our sacred duty as citizens to care about the policies and institutions that shape our communities — political activism.
However, we have to step up and help shape ourselves by being a role model like our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammed (saw) and Imam Ali – No lip service. Some of the questions one should ask oneself is are you doing something every day to help people? Have someone who instils in you the fundamentals of good citizenship or humanity.
Celebrating Father’s Day on the Birth of Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib is one of the highlights of the month of Rajab. Growing up in a Muslim Household, we were often reminded that every day is Mother’s and Father’s Day. However, on the eve of Wednesday, Jan 24th Muslims all over the world celebrated the birth anniversary of Imam Ali which is a Father’s Day for many Muslims. Imam Ali is highly regarded for his knowledge, piety, honesty, charity, courage, bravery, reformist leadership, loyalty to the Holy Prophet Muhammad, and generosity in forgiving his defeated enemies.
Nahj al-balaghah (The Path of Eloquence).
In the 10th century, one of the outstanding scholars of Sayyid Shar?f al-Ra?? assembled many of Imam Ali’s sermons, letters, and short sayings dealing with various subjects in the book Nahj al-balaghah (“The Path of Eloquence”). Which has become one of the most widely read and influential books in the Islamic world. However, it has been completely neglected in Western scholarship and universities due to Islamophobia and Zionist influence in the academic world.
The book continues to be a source of both religious and literary inspiration for Muslims and some Christian scholars like George Jordac. George Jordac a Lebanese Christian author and poet who in his own words says that he has spent four decades researching and studying Ali! His book is a must-read!
The voice of Human Justice – Sautu’l `Adalati’l Insaniyah.
The book has been translated in various languages like English, Spanish, French, Persian and several other languages. George Jordac, in numerous writings and interviews, says: “To understand Imam Ali, I read ‘Nahj al-Balagha’ 40 times which made me feel amazing.” He further says; “The book is a delightful heavenly book which comprises the most significant philosophical and literary Arabic texts.”
